An original home that had been built in the 1980’s for a small family had been added on over intervening years with no modifications to a very small living area.
The existing living area was completely gutted and extended to create one large open plan space with links on three sides to wrap around outdoor living zones. The sarked ceiling, sleek white and light grey colour scheme use and expand on the exisitng exposed truss features to create a functional, warm, and relaxing home in the modern farmhouse style.
The concrete tiled roof was extended and the building was clad in shiplap weatherboards. Decking is sustainably sourced Vitex with a zincalume balustrade wall and wind screen. A new entry welcomes visitors. Future landscaping will complete the outdoor living zones and a second stage will address the homes aging bathroom and bedroom wing.
